Symposium 2025

Upcoming: Symposium 2025

We are looking forward to our very first SFB COMB.AT Symposium from the 24th to 26th of September 2025!

On the first day of the Symposium you can look forward to our Active Bystander Workshop, Lab tours at the Photonics Institute of the TU Wien and the Institute of Atomic and Subatomic Physics of the TU Wien as well as a talk by Lucile Rutkowski and our Women's Mentoring Dinner.

Workshop participants will meet at the IQOQI at Boltzmanngasse 3 and afterwards we will travel together or meet directly at the different institutes in Vienna at Gusshausstraße 27-29 and Stadionallee 2.

For the 25th and 26th of September we booked the Christian-Doppler lecture hall at the University of Vienna, Boltzmanngasse 5.

You can look forward to talks by Thomas Udem and Wim Ubachs from our SFB Advisory Board. We will also have a poster session from our SFB Young Researchers Forum (SYRF). Our Research groups P2, P3 and P4 will hold their talks on this day. And to clear our heads from all the input that day we will have the time for a sport break as well. A lab tour at the University of Vienna and a nice dinner together will conclude this day.

Friday is the last day of our Symposium, were research groups P5 and P6 get the time to show off their work. Afterwards we will have the time to honor the winner of our best poster prize. And the final point of the program is our SYRF Soft Skill Workshop, where Réka Mihálka will tell our participants more about scientific writing with AI based tools.
